Your 12 days Tanzania safari will start and end in Arusha. This exciting safari starts from Arusha National Park which is the closest national park to Arusha and while here, you will have the opportunity to spot several species of birds, giraffes, buffaloes and more.
Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park which is the popularly known to be home to the biggest population of elephants and also the baobarb trees which are to be more than 100 years old. To Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro and to Zanzibar.
Brief 12 days Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Day 2: Arusha National Park, transfer to Lake Manyara
Day 3: Full day Lake Manyara National Park
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Detailed 12 days Tanzania safari
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
On arrival, you will either be transferred to a your accomodation in Arusha or choose to go for shopping in the Maasai Market. You can also decide to visit the Tanzanite Museum then back to your lodge and prepare for your safari.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Immediately after breakfast served at your lodge in Lake Manyara National Park, you will head towards Serengeti National Park. The journey will take about three hours and on arrival, you will visit a Maasai Boma and have a chance to see the Maasai People performing their traditional dances. You will then head to the Central Park area known as the Seronera where you will book a hotel/lodge.
Day 8: Game Drive and Nature walk in Ngorongoro Crater
On this 8th day of your 12 days Tanzania Safari, you will start the morning with a very delicious breakfast at your lodge. Then head for a morning game drive in the crater where you will several animal species. After 3 to 4 hours, you will head back to your lodge for lunch as you prepare for a nature walk through the Ngorongoro crater.
Day 2: Arusha National Park and transfer to lAKE mANYARA nATIONAL pARK
Very early morning after breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, you will head for a safari adventure in Arusha National Park where you will spot animals such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, hippos among others. You will have lunch and then embark on a 2 hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival, you will check in your hotel and relax as you prepare for the next day.
Day 5 and 6: Game drives in Serengeti National Park
You will spend 2 full days navigating through the vast Savannah plains of Serengeti NP. You will probably have 4 game drives through The Heart of Wild Africa - The Serengeti National Park. During these game drives, expect to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration depending on the time of the year you have visited. You will also have a chance to spot animals such as; impalas, Kongoni, Zebras, eland, topi, giraffes and many more.
Day 9: Transfer to Kilimanjaaro International airport and then Flight to Zanzibar
On this day, you will start by having a breakfast at you lodge and after you will check out. Head for a 4 hour drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will check in your lodge and begin enjoying leisure at a beach in Zanzibar.
Day 3: Full day Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is a very famous destination to spot Tree Climbing lions in Tanzania. While on a game drive in this National Park, you will have a chance to spot other animals such as the Zebras, wildebeests, elephants, Large cape buffaloes among others. Lunch will be served at your hotel.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After a delicious breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on a 2 hour journey to the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival, you will check in your Hotel and relax and then have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a Maasai Cultural walk and get to know about the local beliefs, ancient stories, the Maasai culture and their traditional plants.
Day 10 and 11: Relaxation at Zanzibar Beaches
These will probably be the most fascinating days of your 12 days Tanzania Safari as you will only be enjoying and chilling.
Day 12: Transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your flight schedule
This will mark the end of your 12 days Tanzania Safari
